Baking Soda Test
So yeah, I kept trying to remember over the weekend. Finally remembered last night when I got home from class. Apparently we have no baking soda in the house. WTF??? I guess all of my baking lately has called for baking powder so I hadn't noticed. UGH!! It was 11:00pm so I was not going to the store.
Now I'm sitting at work wondering if it would be weird to go do it in the work bathroom. I have baking soda in our work fridge to help keep it smelling fresh and we have disposable plastic cups. So tempted!!!!!

It's an "old wives" tale about finding out the gender. Technically I think it should be considered a new wives tale. I'm sure this wasn't around way back when. LOL and who thought this up??? Pee in a cup that has baking soda in it. If it fizzes, it's a boy. If it doesn't, it's a girl.
So yeah I did it. I love that there isn't a set place to tell you how much baking soda to use. I think I had too much. At first, nothing, but there was way more baking soda in the cup than pee. So I added more pee. It wasn't fizzing like crazy but there were bubbles. So I guess the bubbles mean boy??
I did read that if you are dehydrated it'll fizz, but no worries. I've been drinking so much water this week, I'm hydrated! I still feel slightly ridiculous for doing that at work or really for doing it. But at the same time it was kind of fun, not the work part.

LOL!!! While you'd have an easier time, I'm thinking men aren't as into these "tests" as much as women are. The purpose or reasoning behind them, I mean.
